The food and service not to mention the bar does live up to the hype😀 wonderful service also, the servers were very attentive, which me and my Party enjoyed immensely.Proper old school steakhouse decor, very good food, great service, I would give 4.5 stars if I couldWe had a blast here. The atmosphere, the food and the service were top notch. My server , Anas, was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I can’t recommend this place enough. We had the filet mignon, the strip steak , potatoes and the mushroom caps. All were top notch. Can’t wait to visit again.If you google “Best steakhouses in NYC”, Sparks will come up. Does it deserve that description? I am currently trying to answer that question for myself after a meal there last weekend. I think the answer I have landed on is probably. In terms of ambience, this place feels totally frozen in time. It’s endearing. It doesn’t whack you over the head with its historic charm like a place like Keens might, and to its credit it’s a lot newer than Keens (at least at this location). Instead it feels completely unaware of itself, and in that way completely authentic. The service was outstanding. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the cocktails were strong. The wine list was huge and very competitively priced. I’m not sure what to deduct points from on here. It feels like there was room for improvement somewhere but I can’t say where. Would definitely come back a second time.Could not have asked for a better dining experience. Food was incredible, service was amazing. The portions are huge and they will split them with you and your partner. We tried the prime sirloin and filet mignon for our entrees and they were both delicious. I will dine here every time I’m in town.We just had a marvelous prime sirlion at Sparks. The sear was amazing and the flavor mouth-watering. The steak was gigantic-so glad we split it. Mashed potatoes were very smooth and complemented the steak perfectly. Unfortunately no room for dessert. Hugo, our server was very attentive and we loved his suggestion for the sirloin.
